Each year the London Marathon descends on the capital, enticing thousands of participants to undertake the gruelling 26.4miles course. The day really is a celebratory occasion as participants accomplish a challenge they have been training so very hard to achieve.
React would love to relish in the excitement, but sadly the charity does not have any gold bond places...which means we need you!
Last year React experienced its busiest year to date, providing vital equipment and assistance to children living with a life-limiting illness. Demand for React's unique service continues to soar as families who once 'managed' are now struggling with the added financial pressure of caring for a child with a life-limiting illness at home.
By asking friends and family to sponsor you to run the London Marathon - your participation will not only be a personal achievement, but will improve a life-limited child's quality of life.
Your fundraising can provide a variety of specialist or medical equipment, basic domestic equipment that is essential to maintain a healthy or hygienic care routine, travel and subsistence hospital costs and sadly, assistance with end-of-life care. With every step you'll be making a real difference to desperate families.
